Downsize My Home LLC

A couple of years ago we listened to several presentations by companies who specialize in helping to downsize and move people to a new living environment. We thought that Sarah Ward made the best presentation so we engaged Downsize My Home. Then when the time came we called them and can unequivocally say that they made our transition go as smoothly as possible. Renee and Trudy and their team performed professionally, efficiently, and with warmth and good humor. They were a delight to work with and relieved us of an enormous amount of work. Someone said to us that what Downsize My Home would do for us would be worth every penny we paid. And now, after the fact, we can affirm that their services were invaluable and eliminated a great deal of stress. Our circumstances are that we are 83, in pretty good health, and want to continue to live life robustly. And we wanted to make our transition to a senior living community while we still had agency and before someone, especially our kids, had to broach the subject. We found the perfect place at Grand Living in Georgetown and thanks to Sarah, Renee, Trudy et al, we at Re now settled and content. It is not an exaggeration to say that without Downsize My Home our move would have been vastly more complicated and stressful. We recommend them to anyone facing such an important decision!

I swear, this team personally took over the "Twelve Labors of Hercules!" From Kim. Sarah, Einstein Moving, to the wonderful ladies , who set up my MIL's apt, all have this down to an exact science!!! Collectively, they all make an almost impossible idea come to life with the greatest of ease!!! Their standard of quality service could't be any higher, and I am eternaly grateful, since I was able to handle this remotely from Washington state to make it happen in Georgetown, Tx. TY, TY, TY!! I cannot say enough good things about this company! Moving my aunt from Chicago to the Austin, TX area was an overwhelming task. To top it off, she moved from independent living to assisted living in less than a month. When the need to move her to assisted living came quickly, Downsize My Home was there for us, and managed to move her into her new residence in just days. Working late hours, they turned an empty apartment into a home before my aunt’s release from the hospital. Downsize My Home has gone above and beyond in ways that is the signature of a truly caring company. If I had to describe this company in one word it would be altruistic. Thank you Kim, Sarah and everyone else for being there for us at a difficult time.

I'd give them 10 if possible! I was very stressed about moving from home I'd happily lived in forever 40 years. Sarah and I talked and visited several times before my move about how the move would happen. The wonderful team of women came and quickly, carefully packed my treasures. The next day they and the men who came to move heavy furniture moved all my treasures to my new home. The women unpacked me and arranged my apartment beautifully. It was terrific. I was so anxious about all this and they were supportive and careful and just THE BEST. I'd recommend them highly. Trudy and Nicole came this week to arrange and hang pictures. It was fun! My apartment looks like my home.

There is much more to moving than simply putting items into boxes. The Downsize My Home company is an all inclusive company. Under the guidance of Mrs. Sarah Ward, Operations Manager for Downsize My Home and her talented, friendly, professional team members, it was a smooth transition from a large house into an apartment. Special thanks to Sarah and Nicki who worked with us sorting items in our large kitchen, Nicki who assisted us in furniture selection for our apartment, Trudy who coordinated the ladies packing and unpacking, Renee's designer expertese in placement of artworks and Alex the handyman for hanging items on the walls. The Downsize My Home people arePhD's of moving. Not only do they know what they're doing, they are experts at how they go about it. They have the art to say "you must do this" in such a way that you are almost anxious to do it. They helped in every stip of the way. When we arrived at the new apartment everything was set in place, It was a good job, very well done. I highly recommend them..
