Outstanding!
I’ve been a member of Crunch Fitness for over 2 years, and at Crunch Fitness Round Rock it’s only gotten worse. The class system is a mess. You’re required to pay for a higher-tier membership and sign up in advance, yet walk-ins are still allowed, which completely defeats the purpose. There’s also no way to tell if those walk-ins are even paying for access to the class. The hot/sauna classes are consistently overcrowded—packed to the point where it’s uncomfortable and not worth it. You basically have to show up 30 minutes early just to try and secure a spot, which is ridiculous for something you’re already paying extra for. If there’s a capacity limit, enforce it. If there are rules, apply them consistently. Right now it feels disorganized, unfair to paying members, and poorly managed.
Cameron (one of the managers) was so friendly and helpful on the phone fixing billing issues and helping me figure out my account. This gym is packed but the kids crunch is so sweet and kind to my two year old and my family loves this gym! Only flaw is that it is packed!
Great gym!
Best gym ever, the team at the front desk loves a good joke. Take a class with Coach Margarite and get some PT from Coach Mathew to start your journey . I am sore from the monkey bars now and need to find some ice. 🍨
Group room is always taken when I’m here even though classes start at 6:45 and only last 60 mins. At 8:30 they are still in there. Everything else is great. Just wish I could use the group room like everyone else.
Good gym but way overcrowded. The business model seems to be to sign up as many Warm Bodies as you can fit through the door and then doesn't really matter if there's lines for every single piece of equipment in the gym. The bathroom is ridiculously small. In addition to waiting in lines to do any type of workout you have to wait in line to use the urinal
AVOID THIS GYM – THEY MAKE IT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CANCEL AND KEEP CHARGING YOU This gym has serious issues with billing, communication, and how they handle cancellations. I followed their cancellation process and was clearly told what remaining payments I needed to complete in order to cancel my personal training. I did exactly that and even stopped using their services. Later, I was told there was no record of my cancellation, and manager Stephanie insisted that I now owe a large amount of money due to “past due” charges — for services I no longer used. This is not a customer mistake. This is clearly due to their internal mismanagement and failure to document properly, and now they are trying to make me pay for it. Instead of resolving the issue, they threaten to send it to collections. After reading other reviews, it’s obvious this is a pattern: * People being overcharged * Cancellation requests not being honored * Poor or no documentation * Being forced to pay for services not used This feels like a deliberate system where customers are trapped and pushed into paying money they don’t owe. DO NOT SIGN UP HERE. If you value your money and peace of mind, stay far away from this place.
AVOID this gym!!! I was surprised to see that quite a few people have had a similar negative experience with Personal Training at this gym. I signed a 3-month PT contract here. The paperwork specified exactly when billing would start and how many total payments would be taken. I kept track. I paid attention. It didn't matter - I was charged two weeks before the contract's stated first billing date, and ended up with 9 charges instead of the 6 I agreed to (and confirmed by the studio's management). I reached out to management multiple times trying to resolve this. Studio manager partner Stephanie Butler was made aware of the situation directly, and declined to refund the extra charges. One more thing that didn't sit right with me: this studio does not give you paper copies of what you sign. You only get a copy if you specifically ask for it - and even then, you must take the photo yourself. Think about what that means if you ever need to dispute something. Consider this your warning if after reading this you still decide to work with Crunch in North Round Rock: * Screenshot every document before and after you sign, without waiting to be offered a copy * Record your expected billing dates and total number of payments somewhere safe * Watch your bank or credit card statements after every single billing cycle * Submit any cancellation in writing and preserve the confirmation Billing that doesn't match your contract, management that won't engage when you raise concerns, and no paper trail unless you create one yourself - that combination can cost you money before you realize it. Avoid this place or be very very careful with your money.
Make sure you bring your own WD40 to lubricate the cable machines. They do nothing to keep them up whatsoever. Every single one will constantly catch and drag when used.
