I had a really frustrating experience with Buttercup Dental. I was strongly pushed into getting a procedure done after being told they had already contacted my insurance and confirmed what my out-of-pocket cost would be. Based on that, I agreed to move forward. However, when it came time to sign paperwork, the document included language stating the amount was an estimated bill—something that was never clearly explained to me verbally. In fact, I was told the number I was given was what I would owe, not an estimate. It felt misleading and honestly a bit deceptive. If something is only an estimate, that needs to be clearly and transparently communicated upfront—not buried in fine print while saying something different out loud. Because of this, I’ve lost trust in their billing practices. I would recommend asking very direct questions, getting everything in writing, and double-checking with your insurance yourself before agreeing to any procedures here.
