Great asset to our little community.

543 from neighborsWith all the growth in the area, the store has stepped it up with more brand options and more checkouts open during peak hours. Pharmacy just reopened, so more convenient for prescriptions. Would love to see the store expand even more to be a much bigger store, as there is space and it's the only grocery store within 15 miles.
Muy buena atencion .
Good sales sometimes. Produce is meh.
Edit: I added a photo of some meat I saw while shopping the other day. How is this acceptable?? The photo doesn’t even do it justice. This meat was so brown that it looked cooked. This is a regular occurrence at this store but this is the worst I think I’ve seen. I really like Brookshire Brothers because it’s convenient and the people are friendly. The store is also decently clean all the time. However, they are just way too expensive for me to ever do all of my shopping there. Also, their produce is garbage. It’s not that it’s rotten or bad necessarily. It’s just bad quality. Limes are too hard and don’t taste that great. Berries don’t taste good. There’s plenty more I’ve bought there and it’s just not good. Maybe I just got unlucky. But the prices are the biggest issue to me. We always go to H-E-B for our weekly bug shopping trip. Don’t get me wrong, we go to Brookshires often but it’s only for small stuff or a few things here and there. You can Brookshires store brand, and it’s usually cheaper but I find that the store brand is just not nearly as good as name brand. Walmart and H-E-B have decent store brands and, honestly, their store brands tend to be better than the name brand, depending on what you get. Brookshire’s meat is a stupidly expensive and goes bad quickly. They just needs to lower their prices some and I would consider doing all of my shopping there.
I moved down to Jarrell with my husband from Dallas, and it took a bit of time to get used to a smaller grocery store, but now it’s awesome! Some items are really good price comparison wise to the big brand stores like H-E-B and Walmart. I recommend signing up for their rewards program, because you’ll get coupons and get some good prices for good stuff. Plus it’s right around the corner from my home, so on rough days when I need to make dinner and I don’t feel like driving 20 minutes to HEB, this is the perfect grocery store.
I've been to this store twice since moving to Jarrell 2 years ago. No thank you. It smelled weird, like stale, both times. The employees looked unhappy, one of them was complaining about another employee in front of customers, while she was scanning items lol just felt there's a better way to handle workplace drama, and to me, it's not appropriate to do it in front of customers. The selection of items was fine, but then I saw the prices. A loaf of bread was over twice what HEB charges. I bought very few items, just enough to make meals for a couple days. I will drive the 20 minutes to HEB instead of this 5 minute drive to Brookshire.
Love this smaller old school store.
Love this place
Clean friendly helpful staff...Quick in and out.
