I've been a client of Lisa's for over 6 years at this salon. After my recent experiences this year, I believe it is time for me to find a new salon. I called to make my usual appt with Lisa and was told that she quit. Ok - sad for me - but I know things happen. I booked a gel pedi with Lynn, who I was familiar with, and asked for someone "as skilled as Lisa" to do my gel mani. I don't ask for anything crazy, just a basic gel mani, but I do expect my technician to be skilled, pay close attention to detail, and for my nails to last more than a few days without chipping. I arrived on time to the salon and was told to wait. They put me in a corner for my pedi and I waited 30 minutes before they acknowledged that Lynn was still with another client. They shouldn't accept appts if you arrive on time and they still make you wait a considerable amount of time. I don't plan on spending an entire day at the nail salon, which is why I make appts. Anyway, I got up to let them know that I had been waiting for half an hour, and they told me that Lynn had 30 more minutes on her pedi (which leads me to believe that they gave her a client over my appt time). I didn't have that time to wait an entire hour as I still needed my nails done too. So the manager came over and told me that someone else would start my pedi until Lynn was available, and someone would come over to do my nails at the same time so that I wouldn't have to spend so much time there. Well, the front desk girl was assigned to my pedi I guess, and she MOST obviously did not want to do it. I hate feeling insecure around getting a pedicure, I would expect my tech to make me feel somewhat comfortable, but I sat there feeling like a burden instead. Anyway, she did an OK job on the gel itself but didn't pay much attention to the service. Nor was she friendly. The water was cold and she left soap on my legs after I was finished. The worst part is, the bottom of my feet are now EXTREMELY rough and have dead skin all over them. My feet are NOT rough naturally and have NEVER felt like this. She literally ruined my feet?!!??! AND no one ever came over to start my nails. After my pedi, they sat me with another nail technician, he was nice enough, but my manicure is already chipping after 3 days! The cost of this salon is too high to be giving below average services. and I can't even count how many times they have not offered me a beverage while I am there, or forgotten the beverage I ordered. Wait times are almost guaranteed. After dealing with them stealing over $160 in deposits from me in 2024 (which was ultimately made right, thankfully), I think it's time for me to cut ties.
