Autumn Leaves of Georgetown

I have a neighbor with very severe memory loss currently residing at Autumn Leaves. I take him a cheeseburger and fries every Wednesday and spend some time with him. He probably won't remember my visits, but I do. From my first visit, I knew Autumn Leaves was a quality facility (I am a retired pastor and have visited dozens of nursing homes over the years, so I've seen quite a variety). Autumn Leaves is bright and cheery. It is well appointed. It has activities for residents. But most of all, it is the staff I appreciate. I ring the bell and someone lets me in immediately. They ask whom I am there to see and then THAT PERSON takes me to wherever they believe my friend is right then. I am not handed off to another staffer. I am treated as a valued guest and never as a bother or interrupter of time. If I ever have a loved one in need of memory care, I have no doubt that Autumn Leaves will be right at the top of the list of possibilities.

Very nice community that has a welcoming atmosphere. I love how conveniently located it is being central to so much in Georgetown. Super sweet staff too! They’re regularly hosting community events that bring the Georgetown community as a whole together. The rooms are beautiful and the courtyard space for the residents is super cute and secure for the safety of those with cognitive decline.

My mom has been living at Autumn Leaves of Georgetown since December, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care she receives. From the moment you walk in, there’s a warm and welcoming open space that immediately sets a positive tone. This area is often used for monthly family events, complete with live music and complimentary meals for guests, which makes visiting feel special and inclusive. There are always engaging activities and entertainment, whether indoors or out in the courtyard when the weather is nice. The residents are truly looked after with kindness and compassion, and it shows in the overall atmosphere. The food is consistently good, and the staff is always available, attentive, and willing to help. I especially appreciate how easy it is to visit—there’s a genuine openness that makes staying connected simple and comfortable. My mom’s room is always beautiful and spotless every time I stop by, which gives me great peace of mind. It’s clear she’s in very good hands here, and I highly recommend Autumn Leaves of Georgetown to anyone looking for quality memory care for a loved one.

Before my husband entered Autumn Leaves I checked out all the memory care facilities in the area and this is the only one I would feel comfortable putting my husband in. The Autumn Leaves staff treats their residents with respect and friendliness. They provide special activities and entertainment regularly. The residents interact with each other and have bonded as friends. They help each other when they see someone struggling. There is ample common ground for the residents to roam between the three outdoor areas, several TV rooms, their own private room, and the lobby. I am so grateful for the exceptional help I received getting my husband into the facility. Although the laws protecting the disabled are good and necessary, there isn't a provision for getting them the help they need if they just don't want to leave their home. Before entering Autumn Leaves my husband was depressed, angry, and aggressive. In the short time he has been a resident, he has miraculously reverted to being more like the kind, loving man I married. Although he still says he wants to be back home, he is so much happier there than he was at home.
