Restored my faith in roofing companies. At least this one. Austin Roof Specialists were recommended by neighbor. I got three estimates and theirs was the highest, BUT, as my neighbor told me "...they are not cheap, but they are very, very, very good." Their communication and follow through was timely and consistent. I knew exactly what was going on every step of the way. Previous experience with other companies was that I never met the owners/managers and I had issues (all roofs require routine maintenance and inspection). They sent a crew and that was that. With this one, I met Guy and Mike initially and then saw them on site frequently checking that the work was being done as promised. I knew we had some places where the original builder probably met the bare minimum standards but could have gone above and beyond. I had Guy and Mike check those and I was right. It could have been done better during the original build. It is imperative that the people with the experience show up to assess the situation. I have a tile roof and want this roof to outlive me. Found them to be very clear in the plan for my roof and they absolutely went above and beyond. 100% can recommend them. Excellence in quality of materials and craftsmanship and consistency in communication. If you need a quickie, cheap repair, look for someone else. If you want to protect your investment, call these guys. Thanks Guy and Mike.

We recently had our roof replaced by Austin Roof Specialist and had a great experience. Two friendly representatives, Gary and Mike, came out to assess the roof and provide a quote. They were knowledgeable and took the time to review our insurance coverage, ensuring we fully understood everything. They were patient as we decided whether this was the right fit for us. Their kindness and the reputation of their long-standing crews won us over. They did not disappoint; our roof looks beautiful. The crew was punctual and hardworking, and Mike’s communication was excellent throughout the process. The cleanup was thorough, and they exceeded our expectations in every way. We had a great experience working with Mike and Gary at Austin Roof Specialists. This is actually the second roof they have done for us. They are very easy to work with at every step of the process from initial estimates through finish out. And when it came to our insurance company, they were tireless advocates, going back and forth with the adjuster and inspector several times to make sure everything was properly accounted for in the claim payout. We ended up getting 2 supplemental reimbursement checks because of their diligence! Their roofing crew also did a fantastic job. Not only does the roof look great, they did a good job with cleanup afterward. It was quick too. We have a rather large 1-story with several complex roof features as well as a 2-story outbuilding. It took less than two days from tear down to finish for everything. We highly recommend Austin Roof Specialists--and have to several family members and neighbors--and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Austin Roof Specialists replaced the roof on our house, and all its siding soffits and facia in Spring 2023. Overall they did quality work and were very responsive. They answered our questions, and offered advice when we asked for it. Once the project got going we had two contacts at Austin Roof Specialists which we called if we had any questions, big or small. They can offer many services if you want just one company working on your house. Check their website for everything else they might offer, but we would recommend them for what we had done -- roofing and siding. Additionally, the owner Gary Luton was very knowledgeable in how to work with the insurance company. The weather had damaged the shingles and the insurance company sent us a check. When I told Gary he said he thought the amount of the insurance company check should be higher. After verifying everything, he explained why the insurance company's amount was objectively low and he gave me what I needed to talk to them. They issued a second check -- for a significant amount -- which Gary had closely estimated.

Different parts of my roof had been repaired at different times by different people, so the materials weren’t consistent. They pointed out how these mismatched materials expand and contract at different rates when exposed to heat. Over time, that creates tiny separation lines between sections, which then become entry points for water during heavy rain. It was interesting to learn how even material differences can lead to gradual leakage issues.
