I came here for the first time and broke a rule unknowingly (filming my form in the gym). Instead of letting me know nicely, the owner (or manager?) came up to me and told me in a condescending, loud and rude tone “we don’t do ‘that kind of stuff’ here”. I apologized for not knowing the rule, putting it away and let him know he was being condescending and pretty aggressive about how he let me know. It was almost like he was insinuating I was doing it for all the wrong reasons and he found it gross. He disregarded that and proceeded to tell me to “take it to my home gym”. It was a weird, aggressive encounter that left me a bit confused.. I went into the office to apologize and he admitted to coming at me aggressively and for “coming at me hot” with how he approached me about the issue. It IS posted on the walls, but the only signs I saw were “rerack your weights or you will incur a cleaning fee” and “no free trials”. If this filming rule is really important to your members (which he mentioned), I might suggest not nestling it in a list of other rules and making it bigger like the rules I saw that are more in place to help out the workers that I saw clearly throughout the gym. Funnily enough, ‘no gym bags on the gym floor’ is on the same list of rules but me and a few others had gym bags out without any issues. I don’t know, it was VERY weird to speak to someone that way as the owner (or manager) of a gym/business on a first offense. I’m always conscious of not getting anyone else in frame, so I don’t think the aggression brought on by anything specific. But I DO understand having the rule completely. I’ve been around long enough to not let that deter me from going to the gym but I can only imagine how tough that would be for a newbie female who is just trying to film her lifts to improve and simply didn’t know of this rule. I’ve been to anytimes around the country since I travel full time and have never run into any issues until today. Anyways, here is the list of rules so you don’t miss it like I did and be on the receiving end of a crash out 😂 luckily, I did still have the video running so I caught it all on video when it happened. Luckily for the business, I’m going to let it be, somewhat 😬

I completed my PAT at this location, and the club was exceptionally clean and well maintained. Surgi served as my proctor and was kind, supportive, and encouraging throughout the test, which genuinely helped me stay focused and complete the exercises within the required time. The environment was welcoming and well organized. If I lived closer to an Anytime Fitness location, this would absolutely be my first choice.
The shorter staff member knows exactly why this is a 2 star review.. also the policy the have for non members at this specific location makes it seem like they want the members to be security as well. We get a $50 charge if someone sneaks in behind us? I’m not sure the insurance policy would appreciate a written policy that may put members in an altercation…
Visiting from North Texas, I always land in AF @ Round Rock to workout. The location is a bit hidden and has been next to a road that has been under construction for a while. You will have plenty of parking spaces as you drive into the lot. As you enter the building, you can read all the papers telling non-members to stay away and consequences for letting someone in without their key. The location has plenty of free weight, universal machines and clean bathrooms. This locations ample size allows for all members to have their space and work out comfortably. If you are in from out of town or looking for a new gym, AF @RR a good choice.
Another great location. Good layout and plenty of equipment. Everything is clean.
I visited Austin for a few days and needed a place to train. I found this Anytime fitness On Gattis School Road. They were very accommodating to what I needed. The gym was clean, organized and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I’m glad I was able to get to train here. If I lived in the area I would be a member for sure.
I really enjoy this location. Great equipment to utilize to fet a great workout in.
Not crowded gym, clean, staffed by a trainer and guy who keeps everything organized. Weights on rack, etc.
Never absurdly busy. Most spacious AF I've been to. Good range of equipment and weights. Everyone is respectful to each other, too.
