Fun place to shop with okay pricing for the most part. Horrible if you're reselling.
Went in expecting insane prices but was amazed to find a bunch of real silk, angora wool, and lambskin leather for $12 or less! There were certainly many high priced designer items but to get authentic fabrics for these prices was a great surprise. Will definitely be back!
They told me it was gonna be a one hour wait and it ended up being 2 hours. I tried selling nice button shirts from EXPRESS. Some I never wore, and they wanted $14. No thank you!
Chill staff and great selections :)
This store is an absolute treasure. It’s honestly a shame that unrealistic expectations from some reviewers have dragged the overall rating down. This is a 5-star experience, no question. 2nd Street is one of the best clothing stores around. The staff keeps a low-key vibe, but they’re friendly, genuine, and actually enjoyable to interact with. It’s a refreshing change from the overly pushy, scripted retail experience. They’re there when you need them and give you space when you don’t, which makes shopping here feel easy and relaxed. The pricing is excellent. I consistently find great pieces at great value. The buyers clearly have a strong eye. The selection feels thoughtful, well-curated, and diverse, with a mix of classics, everyday staples, and unique finds. On the selling side, I’ve had a really positive experience too. They offered more than I expected compared to places like Buffalo Exchange or Uptown Cheapskate. The process is straightforward and respectful of your time. You can leave and come back later the same day, and they’ll text you when your offer is ready, which makes the whole thing incredibly convenient. Some of the negative reviews seem to come from mismatched expectations about resale value. That’s just part of how these businesses work. From my experience, this shop does it better than most. If you left anything other than a 5 star review for this store, you are the problem and you need to grow up.
This place is so rad. They have a mix of vintage pieces as well as modern brands with cool styles. I feel like it’s very well curated and super organized. The staff is kind and lovely.
This place is extremely overpriced — $350 for used items is unacceptable- this pair pictured here has a crotch hole and a missing pocket - still $20
TL;DR reviews: The low reviews are from sellers- the selection is great at this shop as a buyer!
Very gorgeous place, nice things. The staff were friendly too; HOWEVER, I tried to sell my stuff twice, and in total, I sold maybe 8 items. After waiting two hours (which you thankfully could leave), both times my offer wasn't enough to get chips, and this last time they offered me $1.40 for 5 items. For both trips and 8 items, they were offering 25 cents per item, giving them at LEAST a 110% profit. Selling there is a waste! At least at Uptown, I got in the double digits & they offered credit to your account if you don’t want cash. They at Uptown were there to explain the price as well. So, the conclusion is that if you are there ONLY to shop & not return your items, it’s a nice place, but don’t expect an OKAY payout.
This place is the WORST!! Literally a waste of time. I was quoted a waiting time of 2 hrs (FOR ONLY 2 DRESSES)… fine- I waited and 1.they didn’t even call me 2. They said it was ready when I asked them and then proceeded to tell me that no one actually checked it in and looked at it… they told me that they were just gonna give my dresses back to me… I waited 2 hrs for NOTHING. I wish I could give yall a 0 star bc no one who worked their had a decent brain cell.
