Georgetown Living - Assisted Living - Certified Alzheimer's Facility

We were so grateful to have dad be able to live here. The caring and attention he received at Georgetown Living were excellent. Dad needed iv antibiotics before coming here, and had to stay in a nursing facility until that treatment was done. THAT experience taught us that a prettily decorated facility means nothing - it's the care , staffing level, and empathy of the caregivers that make the difference. I visited dad multiple times a week and was always happy with how well dad was cared for at Georgetown Living. I have recommended them to several other friends.

Dad has been at Georgetown Living for over 2 years. He has been loved and well taken care of the entire time he has been in this facility. Jane and the staff are very kind and considerate. The caregivers are engaged and caring. It is hard when your loved one has to go into this type of care but Georgetown Living has helped us make this hard transition. They communicate regularly and stay on top of any treatment or need Dad has. It is clean and Dad is well groomed. They make sure he eats and is well fed since he has difficulty feeding himself. I could not be happier with this facility and the peace I have leaving my father in their care. In my opinion there is not a better place for your loved one if they need this type of caregiving.

My Mother-in-Law has been at Georgetown Living for over 2 years, and I have been very pleased with the care she has been receiving. It is always clean and cheerful when I am there. The staff is very attentive and pleasant, and the communication has been excellent. My Mother-in-Law is very content and well cared for. It is a relatively small facility and doesn't feel institutional at all. It is a pleasant environment, and I am so happy that we were able to get her in to Georgetown Living.

We feel so grateful to have Georgetown Living taking care of Mom. Jane and Heather and the rest of the staff have been truly caring and very communicative. They really treat the residents and their families as if they are part of their own family. Their memory care is informed by the latest methods, and and they only do Alzheimer's care, so all the caregivers are well trained and very gentle with the residents. The caregivers really get to know the residents, down to details of their lives and what their favorite foods are, and treat them like part of the family. The dedicated and committed administration and staff at Georgetown Living Alzheimer’s Community truly go beyond the highest standards of memory care for individuals and their families experiencing the sad and devastating consequences of dementia. They are fully engaged in making each resident feel important, cared for, and take the time to bring joy and laughter to the daily activities. After a bad experience at a large, corporate and poorly run facility, the friendly, homelike, peaceful and rural environment of Georgetown Living is exactly what I think helps the residents feel safe and calm. I am so grateful that my husband is there. As one of only a few Alzheimer’s Certified communities in our area, I highly recommend them without hesitation. They are the best.
