 umpkin Decorating Contest that begins on Friday\, October 23\, 2026. Famil
 ies are invited to decorate a pumpkin\, artificial pumpkin\, or gourd as a
  book character or with a literary theme and drop it off at the Round Rock
  Public Library's 2nd floor Youth Reference Desk from Friday\, October 23\
 , 2026\, at 9:00 am – Friday\, October 30\, 2026\, at 1:00 pm.\n\nTeen Adv
 isory Board members will vote for their favorite pumpkins and choose the 1
 st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place winners. Winners will be notified by the end of t
 he day on Thursday\, November 5\, 2026\, and will receive a Barnes and Nob
 le gift card!\n\nContest Rules:\n\nOne pumpkin entry per family may be ent
 ered into the contest. Pumpkin submissions must be based on a book and/or 
 book character. \n The library cannot accept carved pumpkin submissions. O
 nly painted and/or decorated whole pumpkin submissions may be entered into
  the contest. \n Submissions will not be accepted before Friday\, October 
 23\, 2026\, at 9:00 am. \n All contest submissions must be accompanied by 
 a pumpkin entry form. Forms will be available at the 2nd floor Youth Refer
 ence Desk starting Friday\, October 23\, 2026\, at 9:00 am. \n Contest sub
 missions must be turned in to library staff by Friday\, October 30\, 2026\
 , at 1:00 pm. Late pumpkin submissions will not be accepted. \n Winning fa
 milies will receive a Barnes and Noble gift card: 1st place $30\, 2nd plac
 e $20\, and 3rd place $10. \n The Teen Advisory Board will choose the 1st\
 , 2nd\, and 3rd place pumpkins. Winners will be notified by the end of the
  day on Thursday\, November 5\, 2026. \n All pumpkins must be picked up on
  Saturday\, October 31\, 2026\, at 5:00 pm. Pumpkins that are not picked u
