 tion: \n The Round Rock Public Library is hosting a family Book Character 
 Pumpkin Decorating Contest that begins on Friday\, October 23\, 2026. Fami
 lies are invited to decorate a pumpkin\, artificial pumpkin\, or gourd as 
 a book character or with a literary theme and drop it off at the Round Roc
 k Public Library's 2nd floor Youth Reference Desk from Friday\, October 23
 \, 2026\, at 9:00 am – Friday\, October 30\, 2026\, at 1:00 pm.\n\nTeen Ad
 visory Board members will vote for their favorite pumpkins and choose the 
 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place winners. Winners will be notified by the end of 
 the day on Thursday\, November 5\, 2026\, and will receive a Barnes and No
 ble gift card!\n\nContest Rules:\n\nOne pumpkin entry per family may be en
 tered into the contest. Pumpkin submissions must be based on a book and/or
  book character. \n The library cannot accept carved pumpkin submissions. 
 Only painted and/or decorated whole pumpkin submissions may be entered int
 o the contest. \n Submissions will not be accepted before Friday\, October
  23\, 2026\, at 9:00 am. \n All contest submissions must be accompanied by
  a pumpkin entry form. Forms will be available at the 2nd floor Youth Refe
 rence Desk starting Friday\, October 23\, 2026\, at 9:00 am. \n Contest su
 bmissions must be turned in to library staff by Friday\, October 30\, 2026
 \, at 1:00 pm. Late pumpkin submissions will not be accepted. \n Winning f
 amilies will receive a Barnes and Noble gift card: 1st place $30\, 2nd pla
 ce $20\, and 3rd place $10. \n The Teen Advisory Board will choose the 1st
 \, 2nd\, and 3rd place pumpkins. Winners will be notified by the end of th
 e day on Thursday\, November 5\, 2026. \n All pumpkins must be picked up o
 n Saturday\, October 31\, 2026\, at 5:00 pm. Pumpkins that are not picked
