DESCRIPTION:Viatorum's program "Leap" invites listeners into a vivid sounds
 cape of risk\, adventure and discovery through music. With repertoire span
 ning new works and daring interpretations from the United States to across
  the Mediterranean\, come join the ensemble as they trace exhilarating mom
 ents of suspension between departure and arrival: leaping—into sound\, int
 o silence\, into the unknown—illuminating music's power to propel us forwa
 rd. A world in commotion\; traversing migratory paths that cross the globe
 \; narrowing the gulfs that divide\; intuiting the common rhythms that pul
 se sympathetically with our shared humanity. These are the reverberant mus
 es at the heart of Viatorum. Formed in the rich cultural mosaic of San Ant
 onio\, Texas\, the members of Viatorum share a passion for music that groo
 ves\, uplifts\, moves the spirit\, and unites. With a deep reverence for t
 he world's diverse cultures\, the band's members hail from the United Stat
 es and Turkey. Imagine a jam session swirling in Middle Eastern modes\, We
 stern counterpoint\, driving rhythms\, and Andalusian flair—and you will b
 egin to understand the musical ambition of Viatorum. Based on their collec
 tive study and training in a variety of musical traditions\, their music e
 ndeavors to spread the infectious joy that it continually brings to them. 
 Founded in 2019\, Viatorum features the eclectic talents of core members B
 erk Agar (guitar)\, Andrew Bergmann (bass)\, Rami El-Farrah (saxophones)\,
  and Ethan Wickman (oud). Often featuring guest performers from the commun
 ity\, their repertoire includes music from across the Middle East\, Iberia
 \, the Balkans\, Türkiye\, and original works that highlight the distincti
 ve colors of their instruments. Viatorum is happy to welcome Dr. Dustin Sc
